This entire service has been designed and developed by Candyman.

Send new information to bob@candyman.se. The information I need is the design and/or full TT value.

If you find anything that is incorrect or misspelled, please contact me at bob@candyman.se

Special thanks to: Honey Kitten Little, Rockywuff at The Construct, Nicoo, Superbabe Monique Beast,
Entropia Pioneers, Entropedia and everyone
that helps me by sending emails and chatting with me.

A big thanks to PEAuction for letting me use their data to keep all values updated.
Check out that site for the latest markups on item values.

News

2009-10-23 - Sorting functions added
All lists (item, blueprint and design) can now be sorted by clicking the column title.

2009-10-12 - Search field added to all pages
A search field is added to all pages for easy access.
The search result now also got direct links to the type pages.

2009-10-09 - Updates
-Gender concept added to armors and clothes.
-Prices from PEAuction are now imported for items with suffix (M), (F), (M,L), (F,L), (M,C) and (F,C).
-Prices for male and female items added to blueprint and item tables.
-Removed item markup values from the blueprint lists to decrease the width of the tables.

2009-09-08 - Bob the Builder 2.0 Release!
The new version of Bob the Builder is now released.
The response from the public is so far good, but I would like you to contact me if you find anything strange or got some suggestions for improvement.

Check out the "Bugs, todo, etc." page for known bugs and what I'm working on right now.

The old version will be around for a while and is found here if you prefer it:
Bob the Builder v.1

2009-08-26 - Bob the Builder 2.0 Beta
Try the next version of Bob the Builder!
It got a much better structure and separates blueprints from the items.

-The result from the inventory wizard will differ and be more accurate than in the old one.
-The calculations are correct.

Try it out now and let me know if you find anything that isn't working.

Bob the Builder 2.0

Known bugs are:

  • Items with suffix (C), etc. got the suffix missing since it wasn't in the blueprint name
  • Problem with PEAuction prices for items named with the gender letters (M), (F), (M,L), (F,L), (M,C) and (F,C)
  • Veneers show incorrect quantities in their designs

2009-08-20 - Preparing for next release
Bob the Builder is being prepared for the beta test of the next version which is almost a complete rewrite of the code and database.

That means that the current version is being moved to a folder named v1.
This shouldn't cause any problems for normal users. If you link directly to pages you will probably end up with a 404 Not found.

The new version will be published under the folder v2.
So, if you like to take a look at it before the official start of the beta test you can find v.2.0 here: Link

All the data is migrated from the old database and transformed into the new database structure.

Warning:
-It is still in development and the calculations are not working as they should.
-Some minor problems can be found through out the site.

2009-04-09 - Inventory wizard updates
-The resulting quantities in the inventory wizard have switched places to be more obvious what it means. Instead of "6/1015 Belkar ingot" it now shows "1015/6 Belkar ingot", meaning that you got 1015 Belkar ingots and 6 are needed per crafting attempt.

-A new function is added and the buttons are renamed for clarity.
The button "Get designs for my materials and blueprints" has the old functionality which takes all your materials and BPs and match them.
The new button "Get designs for my materials" will take all your materials and match them with all BPs in the database.

2009-04-01 - TT values inserted
I've added TT values for all items with a known value.

2009-02-03 - Inventory wizard
If you had multiple blueprints in your inventory then the Quality Rating for the last found blueprint was displayed. It is changed to display the highest QR value.

2009-01-19 - Update
-Added a new column for Quality Rating in the "Inventory Wizard"

2008-12-04 - BtB v.2.0 - News function
-The news has been moved into the database instead of text in an html page
-The design updates are removed since they will be handled automatically
-Script to move the news to the new DB is created

I'm doing quite some progress with the BtB v.2.0 project now. Lots of new functions being developed and ready to be used.

2008-12-01 - Update
- Added the designs for the veneers. Verify that it works like I think. For example: 1 Short Bigwig Board produces 76 Bigwig Veneers

2008-08-21 - Update
- Started to work through the missing lists to add missing BPs and TT values

2008-07-03 - Information
- Yesterday the data center lost all power and the server went offline between 19:00 CET and 00:45 CET.
I'm sorry for that. It shouldn't be possible to happen since there are redundant power systems...or at least should be...

2008-04-01 - March update
- New category "Texture". Moved all texture blueprints to the new category.

2008-03-13 - Update
- Fixed a major bug in the inventory wizard that prevented lots of Blueprints from being used in the calculations.
- Modified the debug mode for the inventory wizard to tell the user potential problems found in the calculations.
- Changed name for all the armor parts so the wizard will find them ("arm-guards" is now "Arm Guards"...)

2008-03-12 - December update 2
Finally, most of the textures from last are now addded.
All updates from December, January and February added.

2008-03-01 - December update
Lots of new textures and a bunch of ordinary BPs.
The added blueprints will no longer be listed here since they serve no or little function.

2007-05-30 - BtB v.2.0 info
Next version of the DB will have a "suspicious" flag that can be used to mark records that are odd or strange.
The designs for "Force Mace Assail" and "Force Mace Assail (L)" are strange. According to pe-wiki they both produce limited items...

2007-04-10 - Update
The news section got an overhaul. It is now divided into a page for each year. That will limit the number of news shown on the first page.
The pages are accessed from the bottom of each news page with these links (In October this site has been around for 5 years! Tempus Fugit - Time flies)

2007-01-17 - BtB v.2.0 info
I've finally completed the data transfer scripts. Now I can automatically transfer the old data to the new database and at the same time transform some of it to fit the new database design.

Next steps:
- Complete the graphical user interface. The main design is ready.
- Design a new menu system.
- Move and modify some of the old functions, like inventory & crafting wizard
- Fix the calculation scripts so they work 100%!

2007-01-08 - Update
After the introduction of unlimited blueprints that produce limited items I think that the category "Limited" is obsolete and has now been removed and all designs have been moved to the correct category.
The "(L)" in the name is enough to show if it is a limited or unlimited BP.

2006-11-20 - Info
Just some info about something I started to work with today, so you will know what is happening if you see some changes :)

The database needs a redesign and the plan is to separate the blueprints from the items. By doing that it will be more clear if it is the bp or the item the information is about. I've planned to add item stats and it would be strange to have that connected to the bp. I'm not 100% sure how it will be displayed yet, I will do some testing to see what will be the best solution.

2006-10-18 - Fixed
All resources and components/equipment with missing market prices are set to 100%. This will make the calculations more correct where the values are missing and absolutely correct for some designs that used TT items.

2006-08-29 - Bug fix
Fixed a small bug in the Inventory Wizard that prevents furniture BPs to be calculated with.
All BPs are spelled with a small "b" in the "blueprint", except for the furniture BPs that are spelled with a capital "B". I did a case-sensitive search for the word "blueprint" when I identified all blueprints. It is now fixed.

2006-08-18 - New functions
Two new columns have been added. Note that the appearance and functionality of them are still in beta status and will probably change. The values are not correct.

The first one is "Produce (L)" which will indicate if the produced item is limited or not. When I created the column I assumed that all limited blueprints produce limited items and vica versa which isn't correct at all, but I had to do something :)
This new column will bring some order to Bob, since I now can separate the designs from the items.

The second column is "BaseQty" which shows the minimum number of produced items in a successful crafting attempt. I set the default value for all items to 1. I need your help with getting the correct values for all components. Most items will have 1 in value since you only receive one item. The value of BaseQty is interesting when you craft components, since you get several items in return on each successful attempt. I haven't changed any of the calculations, so you have to use the BaseQty value when you calculate if it is a good design or not. I may change the calculations in the top lists to better reflect if it is good or bad to attempt to craft an item.

2006-08-18 - Discovered problem
Armor parts and clothes will never get any values from peauction or mytwopecs since they are gender specific ((M) or (F) added to the name of the item) and my database doesn't support that. One solution would be to just remove the (M) or (F) and update the values for the "unisex" item, but since prices vary for (M) and (F) the value might be wrong depending on what the user is looking for...

2006-08-11 - Updated function
The problem with the Inventory Wizard that some ppl has experienced is now solved. I'm using AJAX and do a post of everything that is in the texarea to another page that performs the calculations and presents the result. When the text contained the char "&" (in for example "A & P Series..."), it was interpreted as an URL parameter delimiter. I've now added an extra encoding of "&" that should solve all problems!!!

2006-07-18 - Update (lots of updates now...)
Crafting Wizard was broken in IE and is now fixed.
Inventory Wizard got some extra error control which should fix current problems that some users experience.

I would also like to thank you for reporting any problems that you run into. I will fix them ASAP (mostly during the day).
Hope you are patient during the somewhat bumpy ride :D
It is really hard to handle every single list of items that can occur, but I will get there!

2006-07-17 - Update
Inventory Wizard will now handle limited (L) blueprints correctly.

2006-07-16 - Update
Inventory Wizard will now handle multiple stacks of the same item and add the quantities together.
I also added a "debug mode" that will show details of blueprints and materials found including quantities. If you get any problems try to use debug mode and report anything wrong to me.

2006-07-15 - Update
The "Inventory Wizard" will now calculate the craftable quantities for each design.

2006-07-14 - New function
The first implementation of the "Inventory Wizard" is now completed.
Paste the item list from entropiauniverse.com web site into Bob. Bob will then list what you can craft from all the resources you have and match it to the blueprints you own. No need to remember which BPs you have. Just follow the list from Bob and you can craft all day long :D

The wizard will be improved continously.
The main missing function now is that it will not consider the quantities, for example: If a design needs 10 Typonolic gas and you only own one the wizard will still think that you can craft the item - FIXED

2006-07-13 - Updated and improved function
The crafting wizard has been improved. Thank you Shane for pointing out the problems and suggesting a solution.
- AJAX is now being used and that will make it much smoother. No more reloading.
- An unlimited amount of materials can now be added.

2006-07-06 - Update
The calculations are now updated and everything works as it should.
I've removed the TT+ and MarketPercent columns, added a new column named Market price which will show both values.

2006-06-29 - Note
I'm doing some changes in the database that effect the calculations in strange ways. Like giving way too high return rates :D
...and the values might be totally wrong too.
...but the designs will always be correct!

2006-06-27 - New function
The category tables can now be sorted by columns. Just click the column you would like to sort after.
It isn't working perfectly for the items that have percentage values (i.e. resources). Just some minor problems
that you probably don't even see unless you look for them :)

2006-06-26 - New function
TT+ and market percentage values are now fetched from www.peauction.com
A new green icon (i) is added to the category tables and it indicates that values are from PEAuction. It is clickable and linked directly to the item in PEAuction. In the item pages the TT+ and market percentage values are also clickable and linked directly to the item in PEAuction.
All values are updated once a day at 07:00 CET.

At the same time I added a small table below the category table that tells you what the different icons mean (the same text is also shown if you hover over the icon in the table).

2006-06-20 - New function
Search item by name or part of the name. The search function will search for any part of the name that matches the entered string. There is no functionality for advanced searching with for example AND, OR, +, -.

2006-05-31 -
All my sites and databases have been moved to a new Linux server in US. That will hopefully increase the performance even more.
Old Linux distribution was Redhat Linux 9 and on the new server I use Redhat Enterprise Linux 4.

2006-05-28 -
I've recently noticed that people tend to mix up the ordinary blueprints with the ones that are limited. There might be some errors in the database because of that. If you find an error, please send an email to me.
Example: Anti-Grav Box, Mk.2 has the exact same design for the ordinary and limited blueprints. I don't think that is correct. Which one should be deleted?

2006-05-27 - Updates of Top Lists
- Added a "View All" function that will list all entries in the selected top list, paginated to limit the number of designs shown in each page.
- Added a filter to remove the designs that will not show any interesting data. For example when the TT value is missing.

2006-04-02 -
New function added:
Calculations of the return TT/TT cost, return TT/Market cost, return TT+/TT cost, return TT+/Market cost showing the return rate if you manage to craft items with full TT value. The values might seem a little odd for the equipment/components, but that is caused by that you receive more than one item for each successful attempt.
Note that if the TT+ value isn't know, only the TT value will be used and the result for return TT+ will be the same as return TT.

Some of the results that might be interesting. The calculations are updated each day so some minor changes may occur from day to day:

These results and more will later today be found in the Top Lists page

Best return Equipment/Components:
Electronic level 2 Basic Processor 19%
Mech level 1 Basic Filters 18%
Mech level 1 Basic Servo 18%

Best low level (level 1 or 2) return:
Best return TT/TT cost: Tool level 1 OreMiner OM-101 625%
Best return TT/Market cost: Tool level 1 OreMiner OM-101 479%
Best return TT+/TT cost: Armor level 2 Armor Plating Mark.2A 2878%
Best return TT+/Market cost: Armor level 2 Armor Plating Mark.2A 891%

Best total (all levels) return:
Best return TT/TT cost: Armor level 5 Dragon Harness 976%
Best return TT/Market cost: Tool level 1 OreMiner OM-101 479%
Best return TT+/TT cost: Armor level 5 Armor Plating Mark.5B 5008%
Best return TT+/Market cost: Armor level 6 Armor Plating Mark.6A 1218%

2006-03-28 -
I've added a PayPal donation button and Google ads to decrease the hosting costs for Bob the Builder. I hope that they are not too disturbing for you.
Thank you for your support

2006-02-15 -
The Market Cost value bug I discovered 8th February is now completely solved. The correct Market Cost value is now shown in both the type/category and item pages.

Solution: I created a new table called item_calculations where all values (TT, TTplus, marketPercent, craftCostTT, craftCostMarket) are kept. The TTplus and marketPercent values are updated from http://www.mytwopecs.com at 07:00 CET each morning. Immediately after that update I run a second script that pre-calculates craftCostTT and craftCostMarket and insert the values into the table in 3 steps; first the values for resources, then the values for the components/equipment, and finally the values for the items. Each step uses the values from the previous step(s). That table is then used in looking up the correct values.
My first approach was to create database triggers, but I thought it was a too complex solution since I've never used triggers before.

2006-02-14 -
The small bug I discovered in the last update is fixed in the type pages (the lists with each category of items), but not yet in the item pages.

2006-02-08 -
I've added the types Mineral Ore and Raw Energy Matter to Bob, since EMT kit Ek-2350 uses Magerian mist (unrefined enmatter).

Added a TT+ function that will show the TT+value if it is available at http://www.mytwopecs.com
The TT+value will also be included into the Market Cost. First item to use this is the Robot Beacon (L).
Changed back the news section to the old one-column-style.
Added all new items (not designs) after VU8.1

I just discovered a small bug:
The Market cost value will not be correct when a design contains constructed items like components/equipment.

2006-01-09 -
Making minor design changes to try out a new layout.

2006-01-07 -
Added Misc items as a new type since I needed to put Robot gyro into the database which is used in crafting Robot Beacons. Maybe Misc Items will be divided into sub-categories later on when more Misc items are used in the designs.

2005-11-27 -
- Continue to test some different designs. Need to do some serious graphics work soon....
- The internal redesign is pretty much complete with the new one page design and parameters controlling what will be shown.

2005-11-26 -
These are the first steps to the new design of the site
- Removed the frameset and moved the menu into the pages.
- All pages are now displayed via index.php. The different sub pages and functions are included into that page.

2005-11-24 -
New items for VU7.8 added.

Trying to speed up the database responses which will lead to faster results when displaying pages. During this procedure many debug and sql messages will be shown. The results will not always work etc.

The changes lead to extreme improvements in loading time.
- View item and designs is fixed
- View types is fixed
- Missing BPs/designs and TT values fixed
- Crafting Wizard fixed

- Synched the type names with the names used in PE Auction
- Added Timber as a new type
- Crafting Wizard will now show all components
- Crafting Wizard has new delimiters between the different types
- Rearranged the dropdowns in the Crafting Wizard due to the need of more space
- Changed the design of the menu (a larger and more extensive update of the user interface will come. No ETA)
- Removed almot all stats and item images since most of them have changed. Will start over with new images.

2005-11-19 -
Upgraded MySQL from v.3.23 to v.5.0 which caused a few problems with some automatically created tables. It is fixed now and everything should work as before the upgrade.

In v.3.23 views couldn't be used which I used for all data in the old MS SQL database. My work-around was to create tables which simultated views. A huge script extracted data from the main tables, created new tables and inserted the transformed data. That script caused the problems now. NULL values were handled differently. I will change back to using views now since it is supported in the new version of MySQL.

I made an emergency fix and changed to views right away. When I test it feels like it is going slower than before...

Current BUGS after the upgrade:

- The crafting wizard has some problems with php commands atm. FIXED
- Missing BPs/Designs not working. FIXED
- "Designs which require this item" not working. FIXED
- Slow FIXED
- PHP 4 not working good with MySQL 5 atm... FIXED

2005-11-17 -
All prices on minerals, enmatter, materials and alien parts are now automatically updated with values from MyTwoPecs.com
Thank you for some very useful XML files.

I created a php script that parse the XML files, a shell script will send the php script to lynx (a text browser for web pages). The shell script is set as a cron job that will run every day at 06:15 AM CET.

2005-11-08 -
Added new VU7.7 BPs and the new category Furniture
Added furniture components to the natural resource category. Maybe they will end up in another category later on when we see the whole picture.

2005-11-07 -
I just received a reply from kb.se for my abuse report...

It was one of the robots for the project: "Kulturarw3- Long time preservation of electronic documents" http://www.kb.se/kw3/ENG/

Pretty embarrassing to report a robot for abuse ... lol

2005-10-27 -
Added a new category called "Limited attempts". Moved Nano Katana (L) to the new category.

2005-10-27 -
I just discovered something very strange with the database. Many many items and designs are missing. I got a recent backup and it should be no problem to restore the database to the state it was 2 days ago, but I need to check this up...

Maybe someone found out the login. The security for the admin interface is terrible and after this I will add something better...just in case...

Ok, database restored. Increased the security for the admin interface :)

2005-10-27 -
I checked my logs and found the entries when items in the database were deleted.

Maybe it is time to add all component BPs to the Crafting Wizard since Nano Katana (L) is using Basic Rings in the design....

Added all new BPs (not the designs)

Also removed the "Uncolored" text from all Tailoring BPs with a nice little SQL-statement (just a little proud of it :-):
update item
set name = RIGHT(name,LENGTH(name)-10)
where
name like '%uncolored%' and
type = 22;

2005-07-30 -
Fixed a bug in the crafting wizard that would result in an error if an item with no designs was selected.

I also added a small update of the combo boxes in the wizard that will make it easier to find the correct material.

2005-05-27 -
Bob the Builder is now moved to my new Linux server.

The ASP code has been converted to PHP and the data in M$ SQL is moved to MySQL.
Both the site and database is on the same server which should increase performance and uptime compared to the old solution with the site on my commercial Windows Server and database on one of my home servers.

It took me about a month to get everything up and running... :D

If you see any strange, it would be really good if you report it right away to me: bob@candyman.se

2005-01-27 -
Today I created a nice little function that I think is very useful.

I was in urgent need of some money so I started to craft with everything I had in my storage, but realized that it was way too hard to find the designs that used the specific materials I had stored....
Hmmm....why not create a function where you can enter the type of material you would like to use and then get the designs that uses that material?

Four hours later....Bob the Builder's Crafting Wizard saw the light!

You find the link "Crafting Wizard" in the menu.

I've coded non stop for several hours and the new function hasn't been tested so much so a few bugs might be there.
Please, report them to me and try to explain what you did if you find any.

Bug that might be some kind of feature: Some unexpected effects in the left table that shows "Designs which uses only the
selected materials". The idea was to show only the designs that uses all the materials selected, but it seems to combine the materials to get all possible designs from the materials selected....not sure yet....I think it is good if it works in that unexpected way :)

2004-11-25 -
Today I decided that I will remove all stat images and many of the item images because I've realized that I will never manage to collect them all and they are not so useful. Thanks to all people that have sent me images. I hope that noone will be too sad because of this :-)
There are several great sites with stats infomation and they also have a lot more in nice charts:
FAPs - GeeKman's Fast Aid Pack Chart
Weapons - Paul Crystal's Weapon Chart
Armors - EP armor chart
Scanners - Kjetil's scanner chart

2004-11-09 -
Bob was down, due to added port blocks by the ISP! Changed ports of the SQL Server and everything should work now.

2004-09-09 -
Updated and changed the color scheme and alignment of the whole site. Made minor changes to tables. The normal functionality is not effected.
The news is also split into two sections; one for design updates and one for general updates and information.

2004-06-22 - Updates
- Fixed the problem with the navigation backward and forward. Report to me if you encounter any further problems.
- Added a page for all missing designs and TT values. Click the link Missing... in the menu to view the page.

2004-06-14 - Updates
- Added navigation for moving backward and forward between designs and items. Bug: Since I use Session variables to keep track of items it will stop working if you are inactive for a long time (maybe 20 minutes). This will be changed soon and I'm already working on a new solution. If strange things occur just use the menu on the left to bring up a fresh list of items and that will update the Session variables.
- Restructured some of the pages to make Bob easier to maintain. This should not be noticed, except in the old new section that can be found by pressing the link in the bottom of this page.
- Components are now shown with 4 decimals.

2004-06-08 -
Added all new designs in Armors, Tailoring, Tools and Weapons sections.

2004-05-09 -
The pictures aren't working at the moment. I'm working on some changes...

2004-04-22 -
I'm doing some testing for the future when crafted items can be used as parts in designs...just like in the old days...sweet memories :D
The tests are performed with a new item type called "Test items" found in the menu.

2004-04-21 -
WARNING! Bob will suffer a lot of problems for a few days. I'm trying to switch to a new router and the crafting costs update will also create serious problems. Sorry for the inconvenience. I hope everything will be fixed and running 24/7 in the beginning of next week.

2004-04-20 -
Started with the work to add crafting costs into the database:
- TT cost is the cost to make one try to craft the item if everything is bought at TT price - WORKING (but may need some tweaking)
- Market cost is the cost to make one try to craft the item if everything is bought at the current market price - WORKING (but may need some tweaking)
WARNING! The market prices vary all the time and it is hard to keep them updated.
Please send me an email if you see that the market price is completely wrong.

2004-02-20 -
The server is moved to a new location and a new ISP.
Many new pictures have been added.
All the component pictures have been removed and will be readded later when each and every picture is verified to be correct.
The prices now have 3 decimals, because some of the components need that to show the correct price.

2004-01-24 -
I will perform updates on all the component pictures, because earlier I assumed wrongly that if they had the same name the pictures were also the same...

2004-01-04 -
I'm sorry for the downtime during christmas (from 21 december to 1 january).

2003-11-28 -
Bob the Builder was disconnected today between 09:27 and 17:03 CET, due to some really strange network error. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused. One computer on the network crashed and locked the whole network during a complete network virus scan.

2003-10-21 -
- Constructor has changed name to Bob the Builder after suggestion by CMC
- Functionality for images with stats and info added. This was cmc_Sarah's idea, thanks Sarah!
- Stats and info added for many items. All images are from Entropia-Pioneers. Thanks EP!

2003-10-20 -
- Public Release!
- From now on this site will be open for public access 24/7
- Enjoy this service and use it as much as u like.
- Send information about designs and items to me!
- Thank you!

2003-10-19 -
- Added all available items
- Added all designs that I had
- Worked with the images and renamed the old ones. I have made the assumption that the items will have the same look if the name is the same, e.g. Inferior Engine equals Basic Engine...

2003-10-18 -
- Added the new mineral, energy and tailoring resources

2003-10-17 -
- First update after VU5.2
